The purpose of the following employee resignation and termination policy will be to make
sure there are certain guidelines set for handling resignations at our company.
Voluntary resignations shall occur occasionally and we want to ensure that our company
will be able to smoothly handle the workplace without any disturbances.
This policy will apply to all our employees and a resignation occurs only when an
employee will voluntarily inform the HR managers that they’d like to stop working for
the organization.
Guidelines
The following guidelines are expected to be followed by all our employees:
There will be a submission of a notice of resignation that would be needed for the
employees before they resign. This notice has been requested to submit at least
[number of days or weeks] so that there is a smooth transition taking place.
There might be employees who have quit and may be asked to stop working immediately
instead of at the end of the notice period. In such circumstances, they will receive
the payment for the entire notice period.
Employees may request HR to cancel their resignation within [number] days. Our
organization will hold the last decision on whether to cancel or not based on the
situation.
The decision to resign should be informed by the employee immediately to their
supervisors or head as soon as possible.
Forced resignation shall not occur at any given time and there shall be a choice
provided to the employee for the resignation.
Employees will be paid for every day that they work and the last payment shall be
made within (a month) from the last day of employment. Unused paid leave or vacation
will also be paid by that date.
Employees who have left on good terms will be eligible for rehire. They may or may
not be considered new employees based on how much time has passed since their last
employment day in the organization.
