What does a chief operations officer do?
The COO is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a business. The COO is the one who typically reports to the CEO and is considered to be the second in the chain of command. The COO often handles the company’s internal affairs while the CEO will functions as the public face of the company.

We are looking for a COO or Chief Operations Officer to handle our organization’s ongoing projects and procedures. You will be a part of the company and second in -command. You will be responsible for the company’s smooth functioning. You will also have to maintain control of diverse business operations and hence we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. Having excellent communication, business acumen and exemplary work ethics will be expected.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of a COO can be provided as follows:
Design and implement business strategies, procedures, and plans
Establishment of policies that will promote the company’s vision and culture
Evaluate performance by analysis and interpretation of data and metrics
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
Participate in expansion activities such as investments, corporate alliances, acquisitions, etc.
Management of relations with external stakeholders
Overseeing daily tasks of the company and work of executives
Write and submit reports to the CEO on all matters of importance
Assisting CEO in fundraising ventures
Key requirements
The key requirements of a COO can be provided as follows:
Proven experience as a COO or in a relevant role
Understanding of business functions such as HR, marketing, finance, etc.
Working knowledge of IT/business infrastructure and MS office
Excellent interpersonal skills along with public speaking skills
Bachelors in business administration or relevant field, MBA will be plus
Demonstrable experience in strategic planning and business development
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/ operations metrics
