An operations engineer is a professional who is responsible for ensuring that the operations of a company are working properly in industries such as manufacturing or shipping. Operations engineers are required to handle repairs or upgrades to the company's machinery and coordinate with department heads to assist in fine-tuning their operations system. When they have upgraded their system, operations engineers should conduct training with managers as well as employees and other workers. Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve ISO and QS certifications for operating areas.
- Design, implement and manage an enterprise-class DNS and DHCP solution.
- Manage support communication between EFI and the original equipment manufacturing (OEM) partners.
- Used bug tracking tool JIRA to manage and track all the bugs by creating bug tickets.
- Manage network cabling and server racking for both Ethernet and optical configurations for SAN and EMC.
- Manage VMWARE ESXi servers to allocate virtual resources to developers, QA team and maximize the performances.
- Create secured cloud infrastructure using VPC for staging and development environment on AWS.
- Develop PowerShell solutions for automating operating system setup and configuration across systems.
- Provide technical support to NOC teams through database administration, configuration, and remote troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux installations, configuration management, and patch administration as a member of a production support team.
Key requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commercial driver’s license or operating license
- 3 years of training during the apprenticeship
- Leadership skills and experience
- Willingness to learn and adapt on the job
- Preparation, investigating, and increasing security policies, criteria, and ways
- The system management, assisting several platforms and applications
