- Troubleshooting system failures or bugs and providing solutions to restore
functionality
- Arranging maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies
- Keeping records of repairs and fixes for future references
- Offer timely technical support and teach users how to use computers correctly
- Managing security options and software in computers and networks to maintain
privacy and protection from attacks
- Maintain and repair technological equipment or peripheral devices
- Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components
Key requirements
The key requirements can be provided as follows:
- Proven experience as a computer technician or a similar role
- Experience with LAN/WAN networks
- Thorough knowledge of IT components and computer systems
- Great troubleshooting skills
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Organization and time-management skills
- A degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field
- Relevant certification such as CompTIA A+ will be a plus.
