We are looking for a sales development representative who can assist our company in expanding our customer base. The sales development representative’s responsibilities will include the generation of potential leads, soliciting potential customers, facilitating sales, and connecting customers with the right salesperson.
You will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with end-to-end users and the community by providing perfectly tailored solutions. You will also actively assist the marketing team in creating marketing strategies that will help drive sales to a greater extent.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Developing new strategies in order to draw in potential customers or to solicit new potential customers.
- Initiating contact with potential customers through cold-calling or by responding to inquiries that are generated through advertisements
- Creation of relations with customers to identify their needs and hence qualify their interests and viability to drive sales
- Collaborating with the sales team to ensure that the goals set by the company are met
- Following up with potential customers who have expressed interest but did not purchase the services or goods.
Key requirements
The key requirements for a sales development representative can be provided as follows:
- A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field
- Good time management and analytical skills
- Good telephone etiquette and computer literacy skills
- Strong communication teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills
