Who is a Pediatrician?
A pediatrician is a medical practitioner who provides healthcare solutions for children, including toddlers, infants, and teenagers. Pediatricians diagnose and care for infections and sicknesses that are susceptible to children and young people. Most pediatricians study general medicine aimed at children however, some specialize in rather serious health conditions and even surgery. They usually work in a private clinic, a hospital, or a combination of both.
What does a Pediatrician do?
Pediatricians take care of the overall medical health of children and young adults. They are responsible for administering immunizations, providing medical care and treatments, monitoring and tracking the growth and development of infants and adolescents. They are also responsible for gathering the health history of children, recommending related tests, and suggesting treatment plans. They treat children with chronic medical conditions, work on diagnosis, and injuries.

We are on the lookout for a licensed and experienced Pediatrician to be a part of our clinic. You will be responsible for examining and treating children and helping them to prevent illnesses and diseases. You must have a piece of thorough knowledge of child healthcare as well as epidemiology. He or she must also be aware of the various examinations processes available for infants and children.
You must be caring and patient in nature and be able to have healthy relationships with little patients and their guardians.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine children from birth to eighteen years of age
- Record medical history of patients
- Run diagnostics tests and examine the results
- Suggest treatment plans and medication
- Explain treatment procedures to parents and guardians
- Manage vaccinations and therapies as needed
- Monitor patient’s condition during treatments
- Plan community healthcare programs for children
- Recommend preventive measures and medication
- Pay attention mental health of patients
Key requirements
- Medical degree specializing in pediatrics
- Proven work experience as a pediatrician
- Additional certifications as a pediatrician will be preferred
- State medical license
- Knowledge of current trends in pediatrics
