You will be responsible for all daily accounting tasks which will include the preparation of tax documents and updating of expense files. You will perform financial transactions while posting them in the general ledger. Strong attention to detail will be expected.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of a staff accountant can be provided as follows:
- Maintenance and updating of accounting records and files
- Analysis of budget and creation of expense reports
- Meeting with clients to discuss confidential accounting issues
- Analysis of transactions with both internal and external stakeholders
- Reconcile bank statements
- Advise clients on financial issues via phone or email
- Conduct month-end and year-end closures
- Report to the accounting manager and work to improve the financial portfolios
Key requirements
The key requirements include the following:
- Experience similar to the role of a staff accountant or other relevant role in accounting
- Good math skills
- Attention to detail
- A degree in accounting, or a master's would be a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS office.
