They work in industries like transportation automobile, manufacturing, textile and industrial, etc. The items that they monitor such as raw materials, mechanical parts, components, finished products depend on the position they’ve been hired for. These engineers are supposed to have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

A Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the company they’re working for produces products and services that meet certain quality standards. This is achieved as they identify shortcomings, develop corrective techniques and put quality control systems in place.
Quality engineers are also responsible for creating and maintaining quality and safety documentation. They proactively propose solutions for the improvement of the product’s overall performance and durability.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Define quality standards and set guidelines to achieve them
- Update the quality maintenance system with fixes and improvements
- Inspect products for defects and durability
- Monitor the product development process and identify malfunctions as early as possible
- Identify technical issues from the root and propose solutions
- Check raw materials for defects and report on them
- Set goals for quality assurance and maintain them
- Oversee quality documentation and review them
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering in related discipline
- Proven work experience as a Quality Engineer
- Experience in working with Quality Management Software
- Proficient with quality testing methodologies
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of technical documentation
